REAL ESTATE

We prepare real estate purchase agreements, deeds and contracts for deed; conduct title searches; prepare title and mortgage policies through ATGF; prepare documents for closings and hold closings of sales transactions.

     

BUSINESS

We advise and consult with new businesses to determine the best type of organization (sole proprietorship, partnerships, limited partnership, corporations, limited liability companies). We advise and consult with businesses on a wide variety of day-to-day legal issues, including tax planning, regulatory compliance, business contracts, dispute resolution, succession planning, purchase and sale of business assets, and employee issues.

CORPORATE

We prepare articles of incorporation, corporate minutes, corporate agreements, and shareholder agreements.

     

AG-LAW

We represent agricultural interests with regard to business entities, sales and purchases of farm land, farm leases, drainage and water rights, succession plans and other farm-related issues.

     


ESTATE PLANNING
We meet with clients to evaluate their personal financial status to establish a plan to ensure family financial security, and take advantage of all available tax laws to avoid federal and state death, inheritance, estate and income tax.

WILLS & TRUSTS
We prepare of variety of wills and trusts to coincide with the established estate plan determined after consultation; prepare health care and property powers of attorney and living wills.

PROBATE
We meet with family members of deceased person; review will, heirship and assets of deceased; open probate file in circuit court if required; marshal assets and assist beneficiaries in the collection of assets; prepare and file estate tax returns.

 

     

LITIGATION

We handle all aspects of disputed matters from pleadings and discovery through trials and appeals. We advocate, and are active in, alternate dispute resolution techniques, including arbitration, mediation, judicial settlement conferences and summary trials.
